The Month of May

I can't believe May is almost over! It has gone by very fast, much like the other months always do.

Finals were pie.. I got all A's (A minuses to be exact but who counts that little minus sign anyways?).

Next my mom and Doug came for my LAMP graduation which was fun. We spent the day in Nashville, IN and then went to the Union for the ceremony. They gave a quick "bio" on each student and when they announced that I would be working for Ryan Seacrest this summer everyone goes, "oohh!". It was just funny because most of the bio's were things like "will be working in Kenya this summer to feed the poor" and "has diffused bombs in Haiti" and "working toward a multi-million dollar stock portfolio as a venture capitalist throughout his undergrad career".

But then we had to leave during the ceremony...partly because I was coughing up a storm, and party because I really wanted to go to Sweet Grass before it closed. But, that's karma for you. That was May 7th and I am STILL sick.

When I went home for Heather's baby shower (May 21st) I FINALLY went to the doctor and had developed an ear infection since I never treated my horrible cold. I still have the cold but the head and ear pressure has gone down...Only took 3 weeks. Its fine. And I know this is TMI...but how much mucus can one person have? I really must have gallons inside of me because it just will not go away! On top of the cold/ear&sinus infection, I have had ANOTHER eye infection. Getting a job that covers Lasik can't come soon enough!!! I'll graduate and go to the real world JUST so I can splice up these dang eyes.

Since being back from Vegas and Texas (which I won $46 solely from my Blackjack skills) I have just been hanging out at Bills, waiting for him to get off work. I have worked on a few art projects. One sign for my sister's baby's nursery that said "Dream Away". Heather will you send me a picture so I can upload it? And I am also doing a collage for a family friend's wedding.

Hanging out with Bill every night has been very relaxing and it really reminds me of a John Mayer song. The lyrics say "Once in a while when its good it'll feel like it should". I don't know why that sticks out in my head. I think just because I know I'll miss him when I go to Los Angeles and I'll think back to the nights where we just sit on the couch and watch our shows. Kind of the "good stuff" and the simple things I guess- its good to know we can be happy just doing nothing!

And soon I'll be leaving (June 4th to be exact) for LA. All of my paperwork and everything is in order to start my internship. And I've gone shopping, which was imperative. Now I just have to focus on packing and then my mother, grandmother, and I will embark on the looonnnngg drive from San Antonio to LA.

The coming weeks will be filled with a very tearful goodbye to Bill, one last night with my girlfriends at home, Kate's graduation in San Antonio, and then the journey to "Lala land".

So, coming soon is an update from LA.

Things Happening!

Just a quick post in the midst of finals week...because its been almost a month! Just finished a five page paper for one class, and now I'm on to studying for a final in my Media History class. Oh yeah! And I'm going to catch the new episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey on at 10...love that show!

I'm excited for this week to be finished because I have exciting things going on! But it's going to be a busy summer.

Tentative schedule:

My mom and step-dad are coming this weekend for my LAMP graduation. Then, I'm off to Vegas and Texas with my dad and step-mom. When I get back to Bloomington, I'll hang out with Bill for a few weeks, then head home to South Bend for Heather's baby shower! A few days after THAT, I'm headed to Texas (again) for my sister's graduation...and then driving to LA!!! After spending 8 weeks there, I think I'll be ready to head for home where I'll get to meet my nephew! (I think his name will be Jackson, but I'm more into less common names like Pierce and Sawyer--don't you agree?)

And FINALLY back to my boy and beautiful roommies for my LAST semester. Then I'm graduated and on to the real world.

Phew! A lot going on for such a short paragraph, yes?

So...back to my study-session/not-really a study-session-but-more-a watching-television-session.

P.S. Here is an IUSTV show, The Extension, that I'm part of. I mentioned it in my last post. I will be part of it next semester as well:

P.P.S. Diet went well..for four days. Now I'm on to not dieting, but eating healthfully 6 times a day and staying full and satisfied.
